Year: 2014 | Client: Yata, Hong Kong | Platforms: Phone (Android, iOS)
Helping the client to create a photo sticker app for promoting Kumamon Cafe.
This project was conceived and built in 4 weeks – to launch in time for the opening of Kumamon Cafe.
I worked side-by-side with the app developers to plan a timeline to make sure we have a smoother execution for all involved.
Under the strict time constraints, I was able to:
– Create quick sketches of the flow and review together with the dev team for tech constraints, (giving the developers a head start to begin coding the general layout and interactions)
– Design low-fidelity mockups and synced with the engineer to begin implementing the basic colour palettes and visual design
– Iterate based on feedback from the customers and also from the Guerilla user testing
– Create high-fidelity mockups in Illustrator and Photoshop that served as pixel-perfect reference images as well as design of the App Icon
– Doing a design QA from the final implementation, ensure the UI is being followed
Users can choose different frames and stickers to modify their photo.
