9Now app – A catch-up and on-demand streaming service for TV shows broadcast on the Nine network.
In this project, we are creating the design of 9Now app in Telstra TV (Roku TV Platform)
Design Consideration
As the design will be based on the Roku TV guideline, we will need to utilise the buttons available on the Roku remote, and to define the navigation paradigm.
Make sure the user experience is intuitive.
Basic navigation
User use the remote direction buttons to move through interface elements. An element is considered focused or in focus when the user highlights the item, but has not clicked it.
When navigating through a shelf or grouped list views, the remote direction buttons move objects, rather than focus.
When navigating through list views, the remote direction buttons move list, rather than focus. There is a continuous loop.
