AOTG8 is a multi-platform OTT solution available in Malaysia to Astro 3 Million + DTH subscribers and a migration from the existing AOTG7 vendors with approx 300k users.
Challenge
To revamp the application with the right balance that could done progressively listening to the changes in the market. We carefully planned a detailed process to get the most profitable design out of it.
In this project, I have worked with the team of 5 designers in our global design team, which locate in HK, Madrid, and Stockholm office.
Constant communication was key in making sure everyone was on the same page.
Plan & Envision
- UX audit of the previous version AOTG7, and provide an in-depth analysis and recommendation

Define key users and their behaviour
- Prioritise devices and features from key user persona needs
Production
- Define user flow and Information Architecture
- Turn out findings into wireframes and prototypes that will test throughly along the process
- Create mockup with customer brand applied and examples of real content metadata, to show how the application will be like in real life.

Result
Astro was very happy with the designs, building confidence in Accedo which helped secure future and ongoing work with the client. Since I made sure the developers were involved throughout the design process it ensured there were no tricky surprises which helped the project stay on time.
